Keith B. Laggos, M.A., M.B.A., Ph.D., began his career in the direct sales industry in 1971 as an Amway distributor, and was a consistently high producer in his affiliations with several direct sales companies until he co-founded Money Maker’s Monthly in 1986. In 2004, Network Marketing Business Journal replaced Money Maker’s Monthly. Formed in 1985, this international publication has been published in seven countries and seven languages. A monthly readership in North America and worldwide now makes Network Marketing Business Journal the most widely circulated publication serving the direct sales industry. Network Marketing Business Journal is also pleased to be a supplier member of various industry associations. In September 1996, Laggos launched a monthly full-color publication, Wealth Building magazine, of which he was also president and publisher. Wealth Building, which is no longer in print, was, in its day, dubbed “The How-to Manual for the Home Entrepreneur,” dedicated to serving its readers according to its motto:“We don’t just cover success, we create it!” In July 1998, Laggos launched a third publication – The Direct Sales Journal – designed to serve the corporate management needs of companies within the direct sales industry. | Keith B. He hopes to contribute to the development of a standardized national college-level curriculum leading to a marketing major with emphasis in direct sales by authoring five college textbooks, which together will comprise the first comprehensive textbook series on the direct sales industry. Book one, Direct Sales – An Overview, was published in 1999 and is being used as the authoritative source on direct sales in major universities. It serves Recruit & Sell as the class textbook on direct sales in several colleges and it has served as the industry standard in many state and federal court cases. With the help of this first textbook, Laggos has achieved his goal of integrating fully accredited courses in colleges and universities and opening doors for the further acceptance of the direct sales/network marketing industry to be recognized as a viable profession and career choice. How to Recruit & Sell in an Over-commercialized Society is the second in this series. Laggos has also written a fiction book, Higher Than The Highest Mountain, an inspirational, warm and humorous fictional account of how a Christian family’s love and faith overcome all while facing everyday challenges in today’s society. It also provides a positive example of how network marketing helps families at various aspects and junctures of their lives.
